UCU is the largest trade union and professional association for academics, lecturers, trainers, researchers and academic-related staff working in further and higher education throughout the UK.
The University of Liverpool UCU (LUCU) represents academic and academic-related staff employed by the University of Liverpool and Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, and negotiates pay structures and terms and conditions of service with the University on behalf of members. Membership includes professors, lecturers, research staff, experimental officers, senior administrative, library and computing staff and others; full-time, part-time and hourly-paid; permanent and fixed-term contract. Postgraduate students who undertake paid teaching are eligible for student membership.
